The Monster Chest can be opened to receive one random monster, ranging in rarity from Common to Mega Rare. The monster found in the chest is unlocked and given to the player. At the start of the game, each player gets one free chance at opening the chest; every subsequent use of the chest will cost 50 credits.
Many Mega Rare monsters (such as the starters) may only be obtained through opening the Monster Chest.
